For over 20 years, Krishna R Urval, MD, has been a respected authority on allergy and asthma care.  Dr.Urval completed his graduate education training at New York Hospitals and University of South Florida Hospitals in Florida.

He completed two years of fellowship training in the fields of allergy, asthma, immunology and bone marrow transplantation.  He is certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology (ABAI). Initial certification was in 1991 and has been re-certified in 2001 and recently, December 2011. He has additional certification in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). 

Apart from treating patients with various allergic and immunological problems, he is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents, both, in office setting and in the hospital.  He is a Clinical Associate Professor

at West Virginia University (WVU).

Frequently, he lectures in both, the local community as well as at WVU, not only to Physicians but also to other health care professionals.  He has won The Teaching Allergist of the Year Award in the year 2011, which is the highest honor for a practicing allergist awarded by the conjoined board of American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology (AAAAI), and, American College of Asthma, Allergy & Immunology (ACAAI).  He is a long standing member of these prestigious organizations. He is also a Fellow of AAAAI.

In 1996, he was cited as the Top Allergist by Pittsburgh Magazine.
